Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the website at thewidepoint.comand the content published on it. Individual apps we publish may carry their own terms; in that case the app’s own terms govern the app.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using this site you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives at this URL with its “last updated” date, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Use of the service
You may read, link to, and share the content here for personal and professional use. You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its accounts, or its underlying infrastructure.
- Interfere with or disrupt the site — including scraping, crawling, or automated requests at a rate that degrades service for others.
- Misrepresent your identity, or use the contact forms to send spam, malware, or unlawful content.
- Republish substantial portions of our content as your own, or resell access to it.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under it. We may suspend or remove access for anyone who breaches these terms.
Intellectual property
The site’s content — articles, designs, graphics, logos, and the software behind it — is owned by The Wide Point or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. The name “The Wide Point” and our marks may not be used without written permission. You may quote short extracts of our writing with clear attribution and a link back to the original page; anything beyond that needs our permission first. Code released under an open-source licence is governed by that licence, not by this section.
Third-party links and content
The site links to third-party websites, tools, and app stores that we do not control. We provide those links for convenience and do not endorse or take responsibility for their content, policies, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
Disclaimers
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content is accurate or current.
Articles here — including anything touching on technology choices, personal finance, or investing — are published for general information and reflect our opinions at the time of writing. They are not professional, legal, or financial advice, and you should get advice suited to your own circumstances before acting on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Wide Point and the people who work with it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold The Wide Point harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
Governing law
The Wide Point operates from Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is applied to the maximum extent permitted.
